Get healthy hair with yoga and a simple leafy cabbage coconut stirfry

‘Help! I’m losing hair, what can I do’ pleaded my friend. What to do? How was I going to help? I remembered a childhood yoga technique which a family friend told us was also popular in Chinese medicine. Whether its male pattern baldness 🙂 or greying hair, or hair loss due to a not so great diet or lifestyle habits, you’ll be sure to appreciate 2 amazing tips I’m about to share with you.

First is a simple yoga technique that you can practice anywhere. You will grow hair, but consistency is key. Keep at this practice for about 10 minutes daily. Follow the instructions in the video tip to ensure you grow a thick head of hair. I’m sure you only want head hair..

My second tip pays tribute to a leafy vegetable. Say Yes, to cabbage. Its great to bring about a balance to oily and acne skin. Its high in sulfur, the ‘beauty mineral’. Taken internally sulfur is essential for keratin, a protein substance necessary for healthy hair, nails, and skin. But  always say no to boring cabbage.Try my cabbage coconut stir fry in combination with the yoga tip for maximum results. And it will bring an exciting flavour to your taste buds.

1 cup green cabbage, finely shredded
¼ cup carrots, diced
¼ cup green peas
Spice Mix
1 tsp channa dal(split yellow peas)
2 tbsp grated dessicated coconut
1 thai green chili, finely sliced
¼ tsp mustard seeds
1 tbsp coconut oil
1 tsp curry leaves
½ tsp urad dal
Pinch hing

Method

  • Heat coconut oil in pan.
  • Add mustard seeds. When they splutter, add urad dal, channa dal, and remaining spices. Saute till lightly golden brown.
  • Toss shredded cabbage, carrots, and peas. Saute and cover with lid to let cook, stirring every now and then to prevent vegetables from burning and sticking to pan.
  • When completely cooked, add salt to taste. Sprinkle grated coconut.

These 2 tips are bound to help you regain healthy hair. Try the yoga tip, and you have to be consistent about this. Stick with this for at least 3-4 months and you will notice a difference. Cabbage is so good for you in so many ways, for your skin, its effective in curing acne and your hair will really love you for it. Let me know how these tips work for you..

Hi Charu Thank you for this. Quick Q. Is it the nails you are rubbing together or the parts of the digits above the nails and the middle – 2nd knuckle? Your blogs are always interesting.

thanks Clem. simply rub the nails together. not the digits, but the nails themselves, not the space below the nails either.. direct link to hair follicles..
